Good bite indication is vital when pike fishing, this in turn will help avoid deep hooking. There are two main alarm set ups on the market. One is the back drop off indicator which features an alarm that your rod butt sits on. Or you can invest in an alarm and a front drop off indicator which basically does the same job as
the back drop off but the indicator is locates at the front end of your rod and so is the alarm.
